I just started watching reruns of Two and 1/2 Men, in the past 2 years. Never fails that I laugh my head off. They never repeat any of their jokes either. I don't like the new one. Only the old one with Charlie.

Jan. 10th and giving up the booze! Yes. You need your mind clear to think how to guide your wife, in time, thru this mind field, that she has been taught as truth(tm). i attended the meeting today, and i just wanted to share my observation of whaty i consider to be part of the hypocrisy inherant to all organized religion.
one of the things i hate most about the jws is the way they point fingers at others while calling them "worldly" or "not christians" while quietly doing the same thing that they accuse everyone else of.. one of the local elders gave the talk about forgiveness to relate with today's study topic.
one of the scriptures he quoted and emphasized was psalms 15:5 which, paraphrased, asks and answers the question: "o lord, who shall sojourn in your vtent?

Do you go to the Hall very often?
When I think about going to the Hall, I feel like I'm getting sick. So much hypocricy , back stabbing, gossipping , lording it over the Flock. Not love.
I saw my old Circuit O's wife at Walmart earlier this week. I told her going to the Hall is impossible for me, but that I keep up to date with JW.org. Except, what I didn't tell her, is I can only look at it for a minute or so, before I want to throw up.
I appreciate ones like you that have an iron stomach and are able to go and come back here and let us know what the latest is. I would like to go, but I cannot.

I got an unscriptural divorce.
If I had left on our wedding night, 41 years ago, I would have gotten an unscriptural divorce.
I had never heard of anyone getting one. I was technically still a virgin, but in JW land, as soon as you say I do, your goose is cooked.
I was so determined to do things Jehovah's way, and we all know Jah hates a divorcing.
It wasn't in my makeup to go against God or my parents or my husband. I felt the tide was so hard against me, I had to stay. Wait on Jehovah.
Now at 63, I don't fantasize that armegeddon is soon and all earth's woes are soon to pass.
What has passed is, My Life!
I am in charge of my life now and often times I am so happy and I am surrounded by such beauty, that I feel I have made my own paradise and I am living it now.
As a born in, I wasn't in a "spiritual paradise". I was in hell. Not anymore. I am free.
